This is caused by the low temperature Suction Line that exits the Evaporator Coil and then travels into the Compressor. The low Temperature Refrigerant traveling through the Suction Line assists with keeping the Compressor Cool. Your Suction Line Piping should be Insulated with a black foam material called Armaflex to prevent moisture from accumulating. However within the Outdoor Unit there is a small section of Suction Line Piping that is not insulated which causes moisture to sweat from the piping. Don’t be alarmed by this moisture as this is normal.
